RepuDash — Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 17, 2026
1. Overview
RepuDash ("the Extension") is an AI-powered review and reputation management tool for Google Maps, Yelp, and TripAdvisor. This policy explains what data the Extension collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.
2. Data We Collect
RepuDash collects and stores the following data locally on your device only (using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API):
- Settings: Your business name, industry, preferred tone, and notification preferences.
- API Key: Your Gemini API key (stored locally, never transmitted to our servers).
- License Key: Your Gumroad license key for tier verification.
- Review History: Reviews you've generated AI responses for, along with the generated replies.
- Competitor Data: Business names, ratings, and review counts of competitors you choose to track.
- Usage Statistics: Daily reply counts for quota management.
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect personal information such as your name, email, or browsing history.
- We do not track your activity across websites.
- We do not sell, share, or transmit your data to any third party (except as noted in Section 4).
- We do not run analytics, telemetry, or tracking scripts.
4. Third-Party Services
The Extension communicates with the following external services:
- Google Gemini API (
generativelanguage.googleapis.com): Your review text is sent to this API to generate AI-powered responses. This is done using your own API key. See Google's AI Terms.
- Gumroad License API (
api.gumroad.com): Your license key is verified against Gumroad's servers to validate your subscription tier. No personal data is sent beyond the license key itself.
5. Data Storage & Security
All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API. No data is stored on external servers controlled by RepuDash. Your Gemini API key is stored in your browser's local storage and is only ever sent to Google's API endpoint.
